Homeland, Florida, founded in 1886, is home to the Homeland Heritage Park, a collection of historic structures, most notably the original Homeland School, circa 1877, on the National Register of Historic Places.  Adjacent to the school and from the same era is Bethel Methodist Church, a favorite among brides and grooms!  A short bike ride will take you there.

Perfectly situated in Polk County, Florida, between Tampa Bay and Orlando, there is easy access to beaches on either coast, theme parks and local points of interest. A short drive to Winter Haven will deliver you to Legoland's very door.

There are county and state parks in the vicinity, most notably, Mosaic Peace River Park (less than a mile away), Bone Valley ATV park and Circle B Bar Reserve.  World-class golf and fresh water fishing options abound in this county, rich with lakes and rivers.  For an additional fee we would be happy to provide you with a picnic lunch as you venture out.

The city of Bartow, with its historic court house museum and seat of county government, also offers downtown shopping and dining.  Bartow is proud of its "Bloomin' Arts Festival" each winter and is just five minutes away by car.

Just 20 miles away is Lakeland, known for its Lake Mirror Promenade and Hollis Gardens, the annual Sun 'n' Fun Fly-In, Mayfaire-by-the-Lake art festival, Florida Southern College, Southeastern University and Polk State College.
